Economist, politician, supervisor of the Lutheran Diocese at the Tisza. Born 15. June 1763 Nagylomnic, got his lawyer's diplom at age 20 at the Késmárk Lutheran College. Graduaeted at the Göttingen University between 1784-87 studying political sciences. Study tours in England, Belgium and France. He became assistent junior clerk by the Council of Governor-general. Participated the Pest Lutheran Synod, resp. the Diet. He joined the civil reformers. After the bloody supress of the Jacobin movement, he gave up his job in 1795, so no criminal proceedings were started against him. He retired to his estate in Kakaslomnic, where he controlled his estate, accomplished church matters, and wrote economical studies. In his works, written together with Sámuel Thessedik in Latin and German languages, he analyzed the situation of the Hungarian peasantry. He was a follower of the civil change, urged the liberation of the feudal tenants and wanted to enhance the economic and political independance of Hungary. The Göttingen Scientific Society appreciated his scientific activities high and he was voted here to be a member in 1802. Together with András Fabriczy (1751-1830) Lutheran pastor, he prepared a church regularizing plan. His activities done for the church were significant. He wanted to achieve that the authorities should give up persecuting the Protestans having lasted for centuries. His essay on ?The News on Nowadays Situation of the Lutherans in Hungary? was issued only after his death in Leipzic. He died 23. February 1822.
